WESTMINSTER
Head Coach: Sue Dulaney Dulaney will begin her first season at the helm in 2022 after being named Westminster women's volleyball head coach on Feb. 17, 2022. She had spent the past two decades as a head coach at the juco level where she compiled over 500 career wins including the past 14 seasons at Salt Lake City Community College where she became winningest head coach in program history with 301 career victories.
In her 35 years as a prep volleyball coach, Dulaney has won five conference championships, coached 18 collegiate All-Americans, made eight NJCAA National Tournament appearances, and led programs that earned eight AVCA All-Academic Team awards. She was a four-time SWAC Coach of the Year at SLCC where she won six region championships. Having led the SLCC to six Region 18 Championships, Dulaney reached the top-five in NJCAA career head coaching wins in 2021. A six-time Region 18 Coach of the Year, Dulaney leaves Salt Lake Community College as the longest-tenured head coach in program history. Dulaney, a former high school all-American, played collegiately at the NCAA Division I level for the University of Wisconsin where she also spent time as an athletic training assistant before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1984. She later earned a Master's of Sport Science and has had her research published in both The Sport Journal and the Performance Conditional Journal. |
CHAMINADE
Head Coach: Kahala Kabalis Hoke Kahala Kabalis Hoke is in her 10th year as head coach of the Chaminade University women's volleyball team. In January 2012, she was hired as the ninth head coach in program history, returning to the alma mater which she helped lead to unprecedented heights. She is second all-time in wins with 131 and trails only her former head coach Glennie Adams, who has 179.
Under her tutelage, Kabalis Hoke has achieved success that no other Silversword volleyball team has attained. She continued to lead the resurrection of the program with a 22-8 overall record in 2019, marking the first time in school history the 'Swords posted consecutive 20-win seasons. The 'Swords spent nearly seven weeks atop the Pacific West Conference standings before finishing at 16-6 and tied for third for the second straight year. During that season, the 'Swords had a school-record 13-match winning streak and claimed another by winning 12 straight conference matches. Her teams have also enjoyed great success in the classroom with 87 being named Academic All-PacWest since taking charge of the program. At least 10 have been named academic all-conference each year since 2014-15. Kabalis Hoke’s volleyball career was stamped profoundly by helping the Silverswords to their first top-25 ranking in the regional poll, and by making a bold statement in the regional tournament by advancing to the West Region semi-finals in 2004 and earning a place on the Division II Regional All-Tournament Team. She was an All-PacWest First Team selection in 2003 and 2004, and on the 2004 PacWest All-Academic Team and also ranked as one of the top leaders in kills, digs, and service aces per set in the PacWest. From 2009-11, Kabalis Hoke served as assistant coach for the Hawai`i Pacific University women’s volleyball program where the then-Sea Warriors achieved a .500 record and ranked top five in the PacWest during those three seasons. |
COLORADO MESA
Head Coach: Dave Fleming Dave Fleming took over the helm of the women's volleyball program in 2005. He is just the fourth head coach in the program’s history, which celebrated its’ 35th season in the spring of 2021, which was one to remember for the Mavericks.
Battling through the COVID-pandemic and an unusual spring season, the Mavs went 15-1 and won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regular season title with a perfect 12-0 record while finishing third in the final edition of the AVCA Division II Coaches’ Poll after reaching as high as No. 2, both of which were program bests. In the process, Fleming became just the fifth coach in RMAC history to reach 300 career wins while coaching in the league. He was also named as the RMAC Coach of the Year for the fourth time and guided three first team and six overall All-RMAC players. The success is nothing new for Fleming, who in his 16 seasons, has led the Mavericks to seven NCAA Division II National Tournament berths, three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament titles (2014, 2018, 2021-Spring), a 2014 RMAC Regular Season and Tournament titles and three RMAC West Division crowns (2005, 2009, 2010). Fleming is 300-159 in his time with the Mavericks, good for a .654 winning percentage. His 300 career wins are the most of any active RMAC Coach and his tenure is equal to the longest in the conference amongst active coaches. |
