Keegan Cook officially took the reins as the Head Coach of Husky Volleyball in January of 2015, following two seasons as an assistant that produced two of the best years in Washington history, and his first three seasons leading the Dawgs have only built upon that foundation of excellence.
Three seasons as Head Coach have resulted in two Pac-12 Championships and two trips to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championships, with seven different Huskies earning AVCA All-America honors covering every position on the court, and a Pac-12 Player of the Year award for outside hitter Courtney Schwan. The Huskies are 85-16 over Cook’s first three years with a league record of 48-12.
Jonathan Winder was announced as the new head coach for the Bulldog Volleyball program on Jan. 23, 2018.
A four-time All-American and the 2007 NCAA Player of the Year as a student-athlete at Pepperdine, Winder spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the University of Washington women's indoor volleyball program and the head coach of the Husky beach volleyball team. A 2008 graduate from Pepperdine, his coaching career began at his alma mater where he served as assistant coach for the men's team from 2013-15 after playing professionally and for the U.S. national team.
Rob Browning enters his 14th season as the head women's volleyball coach at Saint Mary's in the 2018-19 school year.
Browning has led the Gaels to sustained success throughout a decade that has seen Saint Mary's volleyball grow both on and off the court. In addition to his duties as head indoor coach, he established beach volleyball as SMC's 17th intercollegiate sport in 2013. Browning now oversees both programs.
Under Browning's guidance in the springs of 2016 and 2017, Saint Mary's received four West Coast Conference Player-of-the-Year honors in beach volleyball. In 2016 Saint Mary's swept the awards with Dalas Dodd as WCC Player of the Year, Mary Hernandez as Defensive Player of the Year, and Lindsey Knudsen as Freshman of the Year, and Knudsen again being honored as the 2017 WCC Defensive Player of the Year. Saint Mary's has had 15 all-WCC award winners in beach the past three seasons (2016-18).
Matt Fuerbringer comes to Long Beach State as the Associate Head Coach for women's volleyball, part of Joy McKienzie-Fuerbringer's coaching staff.
Fuerbringer was an accomplished indoor player at Stanford University, where he was a four-time All-American from 1994-97, also winning a National Championship in his senior season with the Cardinal. He won MPSF and AVCA Freshman of the Year honors in his first season on campus and left as the all-time kills leader at Stanford. Following his college career, Fuerbringer played indoor volleyball professionally from 1998-2003, with stops in Austria, Spain, and Greece. During his time in Europe, he was a Spain Super League champion and Austria Bundesliga champion.
