Update on the 2021 Triple Crown Volleyball NIT

First and foremost, there have been no changes to the dates or location for the 2021 Triple Crown Volleyball NIT.  The event is still on pace to be played Feb. 12-15, 2021 in Kansas City, MO.

We continue to work closely with convention center staff, the health department and city officials to ensure a safe and successful event.  Through these discussions, we have decided to implement the following plan for the 2021 event:     

Instead of taking 626 teams and placing limits on the number of spectators/travelers allowed per team, we have decided to only take 400-500 teams so all spectators and college coaches can be in the convention center to watch.  We feel it is more important than ever to ensure college recruiters and parents can watch in person rather than maximizing team numbers with little to no spectators.  We are currently working on court diagrams (emphasizing social distancing) and enter/exit schematics to ensure the health and safety of everybody who attends.

Due to the limited number of teams, registrations will open based on team invites as seen here on the Who's Coming List. 

• Teams invited in phase 1 (these teams are listed in purple on the Who's Coming List) have until September 18 to commit to attend the NIT.

 

• Teams in the second phase of invites will know by September 22  where they stand on getting into the NIT.

 

• Teams on the waitlist should know more info by October 9 where they stand on getting into the NIT. 

​We will be releasing more details on September 9 which will include team numbers by age group, how invited teams can register and lodging options for placement.
