AIR FORCE
Head Coach:
 Keith Barnett
Keith Barnett, a fixture on the Air Force volleyball sideline, is beginning his third season as the program’s head coach, after serving as the Falcons’ associate head coach (2018) and assistant coach (2015-17) during his first four years with the program. Backed by previous head coaching experience and a standout playing career at the collegiate and international levels, Barnett brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the head coach position.

As a member of the Academy staff since 2015, Barnett has been on the bench for some of Air Force’s most successful seasons at the Division I level and accounted for nearly half of its 58 Mountain West victories (26). During his tenure, Air Force has accounted for double-digit win totals four times, matched the program’s DI records for total wins (17) and conference wins (seven, three times), and accounted for the squad’s first conference-winning record ever at the Division I level (7-6, 2020). Eight of his athletes have earned all-conference recognition from the Mountain West, while Joi Harvey – the program’s first MW Freshman of the Year – became the Academy’s first all-region selection in 26 years following the 2020 season.

DEPAUL
Head Coach: Marie Zidek
DePaul head coach Marie Zidek enters her fourth season at the helm in the fall of 2021. Zidek was named the sixth head coach in program history on Dec. 22, 2017.

The abbreviated 2020 season played in the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19 saw the Blue Demons play 11 matches and turn in a 6-5 mark over that span for the first winning season since 2015. DePaul saw non-conference victories over perennial NCAA contender Northern Iowa as well as two wins over Iowa State.

Divisional BIG EAST action saw the Blue Demons pick up back-to-back wins over Butler for the first time since the Bulldogs joined the conference in 2013.

Zidek saw freshman Jill Pressly earn a spot on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team after leading the squad in kills and finishing second in digs and aces. The accolade for Pressly marked the first postseason honor for a DePaul freshman since joining the BIG EAST in 2005.

In the classroom, the Blue Demons collected a 3.713 GPA on the school year and earned USMC/AVCA Honor Roll distinction for maintaining a team GPA in the top 20% of all Division I programs. DePaul has earned the honor for 14 consecutive seasons and the 15 times in the last 16 years.

The 2019 season was a trailblazing one for Zidek and the Blue Demons. DePaul recorded its second-highest winning percentage since joining the BIG EAST with a 14-16 overall record. The Blue Demons got off to a roaring start in the non-conference schedule winning eight of the first nine contests before posting a 6-12 conference mark, the second-best record since joining the Conference in 2005.

Head Coach:
Jolene Nagel

Jolene Nagel became Duke University's fifth head volleyball coach in 1999, joining the Blue Devil staff after successful stints at Cornell and Georgetown.

Under her guidance, Duke has earned a reputation as one of the elite programs on the East Coast. Nagel has led the Blue Devils to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, including an ACC-record seven consecutive trips to the postseason event from 2005-11.

A perennial contender in the ACC, Duke has recorded 20 or more wins in 14 of Nagel's 19 campaigns and consistently finished among the top three in the conference. Nagel earned her 600th career victory September 9, 2017 as the Blue Devils downed TCU in straight sets. With the win, Nagel became the 22nd active NCAA Division I head coach to reach 600 career victories.
