Keegan Cook took the reins as the Head Coach of Husky Volleyball in January of 2015 and his five seasons at the helm have kept Washington among the nation's elite, graduating remarkable student-athletes and competing for Pac-12 and NCAA titles.
Five seasons as Head Coach have resulted in two Pac-12 Championships and three trips to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championships, with nine different Huskies earning AVCA All-America honors covering every position on the court, and a Pac-12 Player of the Year award for outside hitter Courtney Schwan. The Huskies are 132-36 over Cook’s first five years with a league record of 73-27. |
Rob Browning enters his 16th season as the head women's volleyball coach at Saint Mary's in the 2020-21 school year.
Browning is the longest tenured and winningest coach in Saint Mary's Volleyball history. He has led the Gaels to five NCAA tournament appearances (2005, '08, '09, '12, '18) and its only West Coast Conference Championship in 2009. In addition to his duties as head indoor coach, he established beach volleyball as SMC's 17th intercollegiate sport in 2013. Browning now oversees both programs. |
Jonathan Winder completed a historic first season leading Fresno State Volleyball in 2018. Winder was announced as the new head coach for the Bulldog Volleyball program on Jan. 23, 2018.
Winder guided the 2018 Bulldogs to a 22-11 overall record and 13-5 mark in the MW as the team broke the program record for conference wins in a season and finished in 2nd place in the MW for the first time after being picked seventh in the preseason MW Coaches' Poll. Fresno State finished behind only Colorado State, a program best MW finish and the first second place conference finish since the 2003 team was second in the WAC West division. Since joining the MW in 2012 the highest the 'Dogs had ever previously finished in the league was 4th place. |
Matt Fuerbringer begins his third season as the associate head coach at Long Beach State working alongside his wife, head coach Joy McKienzie-Fuerbringer.
Fuerbringer helped Long Beach State to a 16-13 overall record in 2018, while the team ended the season with three-straight victories over conference foes to bring their Big West mark to 8-8. With Fuerbringer on the bench, the Beach came away with five Big West All-Conference selections highlighted by Tyler Spriggs taking home First Team honors. Hailey Harward, Emma Kirst and YiZhi Xue were all Honorable Mention selections, while Kashauna Williams was named to the All-Freshman squad. |
The 2019 season will mark the sixth season for coach Jonathan Scott at the helm of the Point Loma women's volleyball program.
During his five seasons, PLNU has gone 80-64, including 63-37 in the PacWest. Scott led the Sea Lions' volleyball program to its first-ever NCAA West Regional appearance in 2015, with an at-large berth and the No. 7 seed. He helped guide Heather Leavitt and Savannah Wedemeyer to AVCA All-America honors in both 2014 and 2015. Leavitt also captured the 2015 PacWest Player of the Year honors, marking the first time a Sea Lion in any sport has earned this honor. |
