Indiana head coach Steve Aird is in his third year with the volleyball program.
A two-time NCAA champion as an assistant coach at Penn State, Aird is an elite recruiter and has already brought new energy into the Indiana volleyball program. In the 2019 season, Aird guided the Hoosiers to an 11-2 start in non-conference action, including a win over No. 15 Kentucky in Lexington. The win over UK was the Hoosiers first win against Kentucky since 1996 and first non-conference win since 1998. |
Carol Price-Torok was named the ninth head coach in Bradley Volleyball history in February 2016 and is entering her fifth season on The Hilltop.
Price-Torok, who took over the head coaching duties at Bradley after spending the previous eight seasons at Arkansas, led the Braves to improved overall and MVC win totals in each of her first three seasons to mark the first time Bradley had higher overall and Valley win totals in three consecutive seasons since 1992-94. Taking over a program which won 30 MVC games in the 10 years combined prior to her arrival at Bradley, she has led the Braves to 29 league wins in her four years on The Hilltop, including 24 over the last two years. |
Brown was named Iowa’s 10th coach in program history on Sept. 26, 2019 after spending three months as interim head coach. Brown first joined the Hawkeyes in 2017 as associate head coach.
Brown completed her third season at Iowa and first as head coach in 2019. The Hawkeyes tallied a 10-21 record overall as the team battled the injury bug. In Iowa’s second match of the season, the Hawkeyes swept No. 22 Washington State, 3-0, at the James Madison Invitational as the team went on to win the tournament. Senior Meghan Buzzerio, junior Brie Orr, and sophomore Courtney Buzzerio were named to the All-Tournament team. Iowa began to close the gap against the Big Ten’s elite in 2019, taking Nebraska to five sets in Lincoln for the first time in program history on Nov. 16. |
Lyndsey Oates was hired as Northern Colorado’s fourth head women’s volleyball coach on Aug. 8, 2005 — just three days prior to the start of that season’s fall camp. She had served the previous two seasons as a Bears assistant coach.
In the years since Oates has led the Bears' march from an NCAA Division II power to Northern Colorado's first team to win a Division I conference postseason championship (2009) and first team to make an NCAA Division I tournament appearance (2009). As head coach, her teams have won eight Big Sky Championships and earned five bids to the NCAA tournament. |
