Sanja Tomasevic
Head Coach - Arizona State

In her third season as head coach, Sanja Tomasevic led her team to their best season under her control. The Sun Devils finished 17-14 overall with a 9-11 record in the Pac-12. ASU placed 8th in the conference, their best finish since 2015. The team swept rival Arizona for the first time since 2007. It was also the first sweep over both Oregon schools since 2002.

Sanja Tomasevic led ASU to a 14-18, 5-15 Pac-12 record in 2018, the biggest improvement in program history since 2012. After a rebuilding season in 2017, the Sun Devils improved immensely, earning four more wins in the season total and five more in conference play. The Sun Devils were ranked in the AVCA Coaches Poll at No. 25 on Oct. 8, the first time being ranked since 2015. ASU had three wins against top-15 teams this season, the most in a single year since 2015.

Mark Barnard
Head Coach - Oregon State

Mark Barnard enters his fifth season as the head volleyball coach at Oregon State in 2020. Barnard was elevated to the position on June 27, 2016, after 11 seasons as an assistant coach and associate head coach with the Beavers.

Year two of the Barnard era included a nine-win improvement from 2016 to 2017. Along the way, the Beavers earned their fourth NCAA Tournament berth in program history and the first five-match conference win streak since 1990 – and the Beavers did it twice – and Barnard was named as the Pac-12 Coach of the Year. In addition, OSU notched the first weekend sweeps of the Washington and Arizona schools since 1990 and 1996 respectively and we on to complete the season sweeps of those schools for the first time since 1984 and 1990.

Ben Lee
Assistant Coach - Loyola Marymount

Picture
Ben Lee enters his second season as an assistant coach with LMU volleyball with the start of the 2018 campaign.

In his first year with LMU in 2017, Lee helped the Lions to a 16-13 overall record, including a 9-9 mark in the WCC to earn a share of fourth place in the conference standings. The Lions featured six players who took home WCC All-Academic honors, while three more earned All-WCC selections. Playing an extremely tough schedule, eight of LMU’s 13 losses came to a team that at least received votes in the AVCA poll. The WCC leader in service aces with 202 (1.87 per set), LMU finished the year ranked sixth in the nation in the category - posting the fifth-most aces in LMU history.
